The bottoms would be better as shorts. The crotch hangs down to my daughter’s knees if she wears the waist below her belly button. If we pull the crotch up the waist is under her armpits and it looks like she’s wearing a short dress and underwear. Not really appropriate for a 3 year old in my opinion. The picture is a little deceiving.

Not Impressed
I ordered two things for my daughter and I'm not really impressed. The material feels nice but the fit is odd. I also wasn't crazy about the style of the top with bummies.
